David Bolden Headed to NJIT

NJIT went into Wisconsin and landed one of the state’s top point guards in its 2025 class. This came from David Bolden of Nicolet High School and the Power 5 program. Bolden announced his commitment to the division one school on Monday. As a junior, he averaged 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.4 steals per game while helping Nicolet go 24-5 and advance to the state tournament semifinals.

The commitment comes after Bolden took a visit to the Newark, New Jersey campus this past weekend. “Great,” is how the senior described his visit east. “They made it feel like home for me.” As well to the NJIT visit, he had also recently taken one to Wright State.

Bolden was offered a scholarship by NJIT back in July. He had also been offered by UW-Milwaukee and Wright State. “They have a great coaching staff who recruited me hard and they’re passionate about what they do,” he said about choosing NJIT over his other offers.

“I can see myself contributing however I can and leading the team being an extension of the coaching staff as a point guard,” Bolden said about his future playing for the America East program.
