Over the weekend, Curtis Britton took his first college visit. This took place to Wayne State University, a division two program in Detroit. Britton is a 6’1” guard of West Bloomfield High School and the Michigan Playmakers.
“The visit was great all around, starting with the facility and the school,” Britton said about his trip. When asked if there is anything he like about the nearby school, he said. “I like all the support they are willing to give and how tough they are in their players.”
During the grassroots season, Britton was one of the better 2026 guards on the NY2LA Association while playing with the Michigan Playmakers. “The season with the Playmakers was great, not the ending we wanted but all around we had a very good season only losing about four games.” Britton and the Michigan Playmakers had a few impressive tournaments during the season including going 4-0 at the Next Level Invitational during the May live period, advancing the platinum quarterfinals at Summer Jam, and defeating a couple of the team 16U teams at Final Chapter in the Wisconsin Swing and MidPro South. Over the summer, he proved to be a very consistent outside shooter as well to a playmaker on the attack. This is in addition to his tough on ball defensive play for the athletic guard.
For his upcoming junior season, Britton said it is going to be a “big year.” Adding in “I have to step up a lot losing some big seniors, but I’m built for moments like these, so this season will be another dominant year for me.”
