Connor Roffers Talks College Commitment

Over the weekend, one of Wisconsin’s remaining top available seniors announced his college commitment. That came from Connor Roffers, a 6’5” wing of Burlington High School who played with the MTXE Premier program.

Roffers announced his college commitment to Winona State. Some of the other programs that recruited him included Newman, Lee, Loras, among several others. In his senior season he averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists leading Burlington to a 20-6 season and being named honorable mention all-state by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.

The commitment comes after Roffers took a visit to the Winona, Minnesota campus earlier this month on the 11th. “I loved the visit,” he said about the trip. “I got to see around campus including the dorms where I met all the guys. Also got to see a workout, have lunch, and overlook the city of Winona from a mile up.”

When asked that went into the decision of choosing the division two school, Roffers included several aspects that went into the selection. “I really loved the campus feel and academics it felt like home. I also liked the players and coaches I felt like I connected with them well.”
