Chris Riddle has continued to show he is one of the top players in Illinois’ 2024 class. The scholarship offers have continued to roll in during his high school career for the 6’6” wing of Kenwood Academy and Mac Irvin Fire. Plus, he is also coming off a big visit.
Last Friday, Riddle took a trip to Champaign to the University of Illinois to take in their exhibition game against Quincy University. “My visit was great. I really liked the school and how they run things over there. Their play system is very well, and I feel like it fits my game,” Riddle said about his trip.
“Me and coach Tim (Anderson) are pretty close and me and coach Geoff (Alexander) have a good one also,” he said about his relationships with the Illini coaching staff. Riddle was offered by Illinois over a year ago in July of last year.
Bradley, Eastern Michigan, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Portland, Texas Tech, Toledo, UNLV, and Western Illinois are the other schools to have offered Riddle to date. In addition to his visit to Illinois, he has also visited Northern Illinois and plans on taking a couple more visits this fall.
After spending his sophomore season out west in Arizona at Compass Prep, Riddle is back in Chicago for his junior season at Kenwood Academy. As a part of one of the most talented high school teams in the region, the junior is looking to help them “win in the best way I can,” to help them capture a state title.
