Camden Brown Talks Quincy Commitment

Camden Brown won’t be traveling far as he makes the move from high school to college later this year. The 6’5” senior wing guard of Quincy High School (IL) announced his commitment to Quincy University on Tuesday. Brown played with the MidPro Academy program.

Quincy University, a division two program, has been recruiting the local product over the course of a couple of years having offered him back in the summer of 2022. Western New Mexico University had also offered him just last month. The commitment comes after Brown just visited Quincy recently on the 21st of this month in which he called it a good visit.

Brown was one of the higher upside players still available in Illinois’ 2024 class. He has a very nice blend of positional size, length, versatility, and ability to defend multiple positions. In his senior season, he averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. He earned himself second team all-conference and was a big piece of the Quincy team that advanced to the sectional championships. “I see my game there trying to be one of the best defenders at all times and being able to score the ball,” he said about fitting in with their team.

When asked why he decided upon Quincy, the senior said, “I like the style of offense they play and how big Coach Hawkins is on defense.”
