One of the first players from Wisconsin’s 2026 class has made their commitment. This comes from Calvin Anderson, a 6’5” wing forward of Superior High School and the Wisconsin Playmakers.
On Wednesday, Anderson announced his commitment to Minnesota Duluth. The commitment comes after he was offered by the division two program back in December of last year. He picked them over his other offers coming from Michigan Tech, Minnesota State Moorhead, and Missouri S&T.
When asked why he chose Minnesota Duluth, Anderson said “I like the guys, they welcomed me and made me feel wanted and I fit in well with them. The coaches have been extremely good to me also, I’ve built very good relationships with them. It’s also a bonus I get to play in front of my parents and grandparents and stay close to my sister, it really is a blessing.”
Anderson initially visited Duluth back in April, which he called “a great time.” He then recently took another visit right before the commitment. “I wanted to finish out my AAU season before I decided.”
For his future playing for Minnesota Duluth, Anderson says he sees his game fitting in well. “They’ve had several guys that I think my skill set compares well to. I’ve watched several of their games and feel like I fit in well to their offense, they allow their bigs and forwards to push the ball up the floor which I do for my high school team, overall, I’m extremely excited.”
