BROOKS HINSON GETS FIRST TWO OFFERS

It has been a monumental week in the recruitment of rising junior Brooks Hinson. The 6’2” guard of Marshfield High School and Wisconsin Playmakers not only received his first scholarship offer but also his second one too.

The first offer came from Winona State with the second coming from Northern Michigan. “It’s exciting and rewarding and bring a sense of accomplishment and opens up new possibilities,” Hinson said about picking up his first offers. Some of the other programs currently showing interest in him include Michigan Tech, Minnesota State Moorhead, and North Dakota State.

“A combo guard who can score the ball at all three levels but also a facilitator and can impact the game in countless ways,” Hinson said describing his own game. As a sophomore he led Marshfield in scoring with 15.6 points while shooting 47.8% from three but has also shown a nice array of point guard skills.

Following the pair of offers Hinson quickly took visits to both of the schools. On Wednesday he visited to Northern Michigan. “Like how modern the campus was, the coaching staff was also super nice and welcoming.” The following day he then visited to Winona State. “Really liked the town and the uniqueness of it, also the coaching staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.”
