A flurry of commitments took place over the weekend as players from coast to coast made their intentions known to the basketball world.  Leading the way was 2013 G Bronson Koenig who chose to stay at home.  We recap that and more in today’s news and notes…

Commitments
2013 G Bronson Koenig of La Crosse Aquinas (WI) verbally committed to Bo Ryan and the Wisconsin Badgers this weekend.  He played with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors during the grassroots travel season.

2012 SG Buddy Hield of Sunrise Christian Academy (KS) verbally committed to Oklahoma on Sunday.  He played with the Kansas Players during the grassroots travel season.

2013 PF Nolan Berry of De Smet Jesuit High School (MO) verbally committed to Butler on Sunday.  He played with the St. Louis Eagles during the grassroots travel season and was named the Most Outstanding Player in the 16U Division of the 2011 Swish N’ Dish Spring Warm-Up this past April.

2012 SG Christian Sanders of Saint Thomas High School (TX) verbally committed to Stanford over the weekend.  He played with the Houston Defenders Select team during the grassroots travel season.

2012 PF Tyler Cavanaugh of Jamesville-Dewitt High School (NY) verbally committed to Wake Forest on Saturday.  He played with the Albany City Rocks program during the grassroots travel season.

2012 SG Caris Levert of Pickerington Central High School (OH) verbally committed to Ohio on Monday.  He played with an All-Ohio affiliate during the grassroots travel season.

2012 G Mike LaTulip of Prospect High School (IL) verbally committed to Illinois as a preferred walk-on over the weekend.  He played with the Full Package program during the grassroots travel season.

2012 F Justin Goldsborough of St. Stephen and St. Agnus School (VA) verbally committed to Lehigh over the weekend.

2012 PG Anthony Clemmons of Sexton High School (MI) has verbally committed to Iowa.

2012 SG Mike Brown of West Charlotte High School (NC) verbally committed to Western Carolina over the weekend.

2012 PF Marc-Eddy Noriela of Olympia High School (FL) verbally committed to Tulane over the weekend.

2014 Kodi Justice of Dobson High School (AZ) verbally committed to Arizona State over the weekend.

The 2011 Generation Next Tip-Off for boys 4th-8th grade teams will tip off November 19-20, 2011 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This is the second annual event and last year saw teams attend from Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and Indiana.  For more information and details CLICK HERE

The 2011 Holiday Hoopfest for boys 3rd-8th grade teams will tip off January 7-8, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This is the second annual event and last year saw teams from Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin in attendance.  For more information and details CLICK HERE

The 7th annual Swish & Dish Spring Warm-Up for boys 3rd-11th grade teams is set for March 30-April 1, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This tournament is regarded as one of the premiere travel team events in the country annually with some of the premiere teams and individual talent in the country already confirmed to be in attendance once again next year.  For more information and details CLICK HERE

The 7th annual NY2LA Sports Invitational for boys 3rd-11th grad teams is set for May 18-20, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This tournament is annually one of the premiere events in the country to wrap up the spring travel season as teams from across the country annually make the trek to Wisconsin for this event.  For more information and details CLICK HERE
