Throughout his high school career over the past few years, the game of Cannon Flynn has continued to take tremendous strides. With this, the 6’6” wing forward of Rochester Adams High School has not only developed into one of the top seniors in Michigan but also seen his recruitment take some big strides.

Flynn had a breakout junior season for Rochester Adams in which he earned honorable mention all-state honors. During the season, he averaged 21.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

Throughout this year, the recruitment of Flynn has continued to make strides. This started back in the spring when he received his first collegiate offer coming from Hope College following a visit. More recently, the senior picked up his first division two offer. This came from Lake Superior State in October while on a visit. “Was a great visit to LSSU, fantastic program,” he said about his trip to the upper peninsula school. When asked if there is anything he liked about them, he said “Loved the culture they have been able to build up there through coach Hettinga. The guys were awesome to hang out with.”

While Lake Superior State and Hope College are his only two offers currently, Flynn is also attracting interest from a few other programs coming from multiple levels including both division one and two programs. This includes Oakland University, Roosevelt, and Wayne State.

“Looking for a program that wants to develop me and make me a better basketball player, while also having me be able to get time on the floor,” Flynn said about what he is looking for in his future college basketball program. While the senior did say he is in no rush to make his college commitment, he would like to commit sooner. “But if I feel like there’s a fit out there I’m willing to wait. Just trying to find the right fit.”
