During the weekend, Missouri S&T landed an in-state commitment for its 2027 recruiting class. This came from Emery Woehrmann, a 6’3” guard of Team Ramey and Borgia High School.

Missouri S&T is getting a commitment from one of Missouri’s top available scorers and shooters. During his junior season, he averaged 24 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 42% from three.

The commitment comes after Woehrmann landed his scholarship offer from the division two school back in June. He then took his official visit to the Rolla, Missouri campus back in September. “Had a great experience,” he first said about the visit. “I got to spend time with the coaches and players, see the campus, and learn more about the engineering programs. I could really tell how much the guys support each other. There’s a strong team culture, and I felt like I could be part of that family.”

There were a few factors both on and off the court that helped Missouri S&T win over Woehrmann. “The biggest things for me are the coaching staff, the team culture, and the academics. I connected with the coaches, and the team is really close and feels like a family. Missouri S&T is also a top engineering university with a great reputation, and a lot of opportunities to prepare for my future. It’s a place where I can challenge myself both on and off the court.”

When asked how his game fits in with the GLVC program, Woehrmann focused on all of his offensive abilities. “I think my ability to score at all three levels, handle the ball, and create opportunities for myself and my teammates fits well with the team. I can play on or off the ball, use my shooting to stretch the floor, and bring speed and energy on both ends of the court. I’m excited to keep working hard, developing my game, and doing whatever I can to help the team win.”
