One of Wisconsin’s top players and prospects in the 2028 class, Jordan Evans, missed the majority of the summer due to an injury. However the guard of Team Herro and Living Word Lutheran is back on the court this fall and once again starting to see his recruitment grow.

After missing significant time this summer, Evans proved his high level play earlier this month at the NY2LA Junior Senior Showcase. At the camp, he was named a top standout as well as the sixth best recruit amongst the 2028’s. As a physical, straight line driver, Evans was one of the top scorers of the entire camp while also making plenty of plays on the opposite end as an aggressive on ball defender. His scoring ability was also seen throughout his entire sophomore season as he averaged 20 points per game for Living Word Lutheran in addition to 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.5 steals. “I’m a strong, aggressive guard who can score at all three levels and facilitate to my teammates . I’m ready to show what I can do on defense, both on and off the ball. I’ll do whatever it takes to help my team win,” Evans said when describing his own game.

With his consistent high level play throughout his high school career and his translatable tools, Evans has continued to generate plenty of college interest. The junior already holds an offer from Bethune Cookman. In addition to this offer, Evans is also drawing interest from Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, UW-Green Bay, and UW-Milwaukee.

Most recently in his recruitment, Evans took a visit to Northern Illinois this week on Thursday. “Went great,” Evans said about his visit to the Dekalb, Illinois campus. “I enjoyed watching their practice. I like how they have a guard focused offense…started a relationship with the coaches,” he added in about the visit.

“Big” is how Evans described his goals for his upcoming junior season. They include winning a state championship and earn all-state and conference player of the year honors. “I’m excited to finally be able to play in good health and show what I can do.”
