Five more players in the Midwest who are set to take their game to a new level this high school season or are just poised to have their recruitment take off.

TJ Foy - 2027 - SG - Wisconsin Dynasty

After a solid grassroots season with the Wisconsin Dynasty, Foy was playing at another level at the recent NY2LA Junior Senior Showcase. As well as having some size as a 6’4” wing guard, Foy plays with good energy and has a well-rounded game. The senior is a tough and versatile defender, scores it well on the attack with both his strength and moves, and passes it well. He should be drawing some college interest in his senior season with Sun Prairie West with his elevated game.

Easton Lurvey - 2028 - G - Wisconsin Swing

Lurvey had one of the top seasons in Wisconsin for all sophomores last year for Three Lakes. This included 24.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.5 steals per game to earn honorable mention all-state honors. His high level of play continued with a standout grassroots season with the Swing and more recently being named a top ten 2028 prospect at the NY2LA Junior Senior Showcase. Lurvery is a skilled and well-rounded combo guard that makes plays off the dribble, shoots it well from three, and knows how to play.

Parker Mitchell - 2027 - SG - Team Herro National

For college teams looking for a shooter, Mitchell is a name to know. He showed his shooting ability in his junior season while averaging over 10 points per game while hitting nearly 40% of his three point attempts for Wauwatosa East. He was even better during his grassroots season as he consistently showcased his pure jumper shooting the ball at a high percentage from both the mid-range and three throughout the season. The 6’2” guard was offered by William Penn earlier this month and should continue to generate greater interest and offers.

Wes Shelby - 2027 - PF - Illinois Flight

Shelby is an under the radar forward with a lot of tools that could lead him to having a breakout senior season for Lincoln Way East. Not only does he bring some size to the front court while standing at 6’6” but also has a good scoring ability. This includes Shelby’s ability to stretch the floor and consistently hit threes. As well, Shelby is an athletic forward who can finish it strong around the basket and plays with good energy on the glass and defensively.

Davion Tate - 2027 - PG - Greater Purpose Athletics

Tate is one of the more electric playmaking guard in Chicagoland area. He is a skilled scorer with a great ability to create for himself getting it done from all three levels to be able to score in bunches. He moves so well with the ball in his hands with his shiftyness and handles. While a skilled scorer, Tate can also run the point and create for others well too. After an all-conference and all-area junior season, look for Tate to have an even bigger senior season with Maine West.
