Olivet Nazarene University has added an in-state commitment for its 2027 recruiting class over the weekend. This came from Aiden White, a 6’7” senior forward from MidPro Academy and Westville High School.
There were factors beyond basketball that played a pivotal role in White selecting Olivet Nazarene. “One of the main reasons I chose Olivet is because my faith is very important to me. I think Olivet does an amazing job of keeping God at the center of everything while still being competitive in basketball. I also really like the school itself and the kind of environment it provides” White said about his decision in selecting the NAIA program.
The commitment comes after White was offered by Olivet Nazarene back at the end of August while taking his visit to the Bourbonnais, Illinois campus. “I thought the visit was amazing," he first said about the trip there. “One thing that really stood out to me was how nice everyone was to each other. I liked seeing the way people treated one another, and it made me feel like Olivet was a place where I could fit in both on and off the court.”
The versatile and skilled 6’7” forward sees his game fitting it at Olivet Nazarene in several different ways. “I see myself fitting in by being a good passer, playing down low, and bringing a strong rebounding presence. I want to do whatever I can to help the team win and contribute in any way the coaches need me to.”
This was Olivet Nazarene’s second commitment in just a few days. Earlier in the week, they also added a commitment from Wyatt Plisky, a 6’4” guard of Evansville Christian High School (IN).
