The newest player from Wisconsin’s 2028 class to add their first division one offer was Mason Wallace. This came from Milwaukee for the 6’7” forward of Monona Grove High School and 24UP.
“Getting any offer feels amazing but getting my first division one offer makes all the hard work and dedication feel like it’s worth it and that’s what’s going to motivate me to work harder,” Wallace said about picking up the offer from Milwaukee. The offer comes after the junior took a visit to the in-state school back in August. When asked about the visit, he said “It was unreal seeing the physicality and speed at the next level and Coach Lundy and his staff made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped through the doors.” Regarding if there is anything he likes about their basketball program, he said “I love how hard the coaching staff pushes the players to be better and I love the brotherhood that the players displayed while on the court.”
While Milwaukee was the first division one program to offer Wallace, they were not the first college to do so. Last month in September, Lindsey Wilson University, a NAIA school in Kentucky, was the first to offer him. “Although I haven’t had the time to set up a visit I heard that it was a great place and I look forward to talking to the coaching staff more about coming on a visit,” Wallace said about Lindsey Wilson University.
In addition to his pair of offers, Wallace is seeing a wide range of interest including multiple division one programs as well to division two and NAIA ones. The list includes Indiana Wesleyan, Green Bay, Minnesota Duluth, North Dakota State, and South Dakota Mines.
