While the 2030 class is just entering high school and haven’t even seen their freshman season begin, some players are emerging atop the class. One of these being Brighton Webb, a 6’6” wing of Team Herro and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School (WI).
This year while playing with Team Herro, Webb looked the part of one of the top 2030 players in the entire Midwest. “My season with Team Herro was great to start off with. We made it to peach jam and we made it far in EYBL sessions. We had our ups and downs this season but we fixed it and we are excited for next season,” Webb stated about his grassroots season. More recently, Webb was one of the top players earlier this month at the NY2LA Futures Camp including being named a top standout. As part of his performance, he was named the third top prospect from the camp's 2030 class.
As part of his play this year, Webb has started to generate some very early interest from college coaches. This includes ones from high major programs such as Iowa State among others.
While only a 2030, Webb already has an elite combination of tools that you rarely see in freshmen. In addition to already having some size on the wings standing at 6’6”, Webb also has a very well-rounded game while also having a big motor and great athleticism. On the offensive side, he is at his best as a slasher, being able to handle the ball and use his physicality to attack the rim where he is an elite finisher. At the NY2LA Futures Camp he also showed an improved outside jumper as he was consistently hitting his threes. He is also a standout on the defensive side where he can matchup with multiple positions very effectively. He has shown the ability to defend well out on the perimeter while also being a good shot blocker. “I want to make my game as versatile as I can and make it to where I do everything one hundred percent right,” Webb said about the next steps of his game.
With all these tools, look for Webb to make an immediate impact in his upcoming freshmen season to continue to generate further college interest.
