This fall, we have continued to see some of the top players in the Midwest’s 2028 class receive their first scholarship offer. One of the newest being Jase Navis. The 6’7” wing of Mauston High School (WI) has received his offer coming from a division one program.

Toledo became the first school to extend an offer out to Navis. “It feels amazing to receive my first division one scholarship offer,” the junior said. “I’m extremely grateful and blessed for the opportunity and for all the coaches who have supported me and helped me get to this point. It motivates me to keep working hard and getting better, both on and off the court.”

The offer comes after Navis took a visit to the Ohio school. “I really enjoyed my visit to Toledo,” Navis said about his trip there. I liked the coaching staff, the campus, and the facilities. I also had the opportunity to watch the team practice and scrimmage, and I liked the team chemistry and how they competed together. Overall, it was a great experience for me and my family, and I really enjoyed getting to know the program.”

While Toledo was his first offer as well as his first offer, he has also seen some other developments in his recruitment recently. This includes both North Dakota State and University of St. Thomas coming to his workouts this fall.

Over the past couple of years, Navis has emerged as one of the top prospects in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. In his sophomore season he led Mauston in all five major stat categories. This included 20.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game to earn first team all-conference honors.

After leading Mauston to a 18-6 record including 13-1 in conference, Navis has some bigger goals for his upcoming junior season. He is looking to repeat as conference champions in addition to “make the guys around me better and help our team reach our goals.” This is in addition to some personal goals of being named academic all-state and first team all-state as well as becoming a better leader.
