One more group of standouts from last weekend’s NY2LA Junior Senior Showcase that featured plenty of talent and high upside prospects from the regions 2027 and 2028 classes.

Mamadou Ndiaye - 2027 - C - St. John’s Northwestern - 24UP

Ndiaye is a very intriguing, high upside post. Not only does he stand at 6’9” but also has a strong build too. He scored the ball very effectively out of the dunker spot finishing strong right through defenders for several dunks throughout the showcase. He was also a big presence inside defensively as a paint protector showing some agility maneuvering the interior.

Tommy Foy - 2027 - SG - Sun Prairie West - Wisconsin Dynasty

Foy was looking like one of the most improved players with his performance at the camp. This was highlighted by an improved ability to handle the ball and create off the dribble along with a well-rounded game. This is in addition to good positional size as a 6’4” wing guard and being an active player. Foy was scoring it very effectively on the attacking, beating defenders both with his moves and strength but also showed a good passing ability, and played tough defensively and on the glass.

Mario Romo Jr - 2028 - SF - Horace Mann - All Wisconsin

Throughout this year the game of Romo has continued to progress and he featured his versatile game throughout this event. Romo has some size at 6’5”, plays with great energy, and made plenty of plays on both ends. He showed good shot making during the showcase hitting jumpers from both the mid-range and three while also using his physicality to attack the basket. He also uses his size, energetic play, and athleticism to match up with both guards and forwards effectively in addition to playing tough on the glass.

Tyler Treder - 2028 - PF - Wisconsin Lutheran - Gamepoint

It was a standout showcase for the California transplant. As well as being 6’8”, the power forward proved his high skill level. This included a pure looking jumper spotting up from the outside. In one of his games, Treder knocked down five threes, knocking them down at a high percentage. As well as his high level shooting, he also showed a well-rounded offensive game with his ability to score it posting up and being able to put the ball on the floor.

Mason Wallace - 2028 - F - Monona Grove - 24UP

Wallace is already an impactful player but shows even greater upside with all his tools. This includes good size at 6’7” along with his athleticism and a versatile game. This included the forward scoring the ball in a variety of ways including some strong baskets inside, from the mid-post, being able to handle the ball and drive to the basket, and hit some jumpers too. Wallace also showed his highly impactful play being able to defend multiple positions effectively and play with good energy rebounding the ball out of area well.

McKhale Wesley - 2027 - G - Shorewood - Team Hali

Throughout the showcase, the 6’3” combo guard proved his great scoring ability. This included Wesley scoring it effectively from all three levels. He moves exceptionally well with the ball, beating defenders to be able to create his own shot in the mid-range as well as get to the rim and finishes well amongst traffic. Wesley also showed his shooting from the outside knocking down threes off the dribble and catch well. Wesley is looking like one of the top available scoring guards in Wisconsin’s 2027 class, and was recently offered by Sauk Valley.
