One last group of standouts from the highly talented NY2LA Futures Camps. This article features some high major talent and some up and coming players. 

Raymond DeJesus - 2030 - F/C - Clintonville - 24UP

DeJesus was a highly impactful player on both ends of the floor down in the paint. He has some size at 6’6” along with a solid build as just a freshman. He plays with plenty of toughness and physicality. Offensively, DeJesus used all these tools to score it effectively with his back to the basket finishing very strong through contact. He also showed a growing offensive game being able to put the ball on the floor. On the defensive side, he played very active as a paint protector.  

Kobe Humphrey - 2029 - G - Sussex Hamilton - CBA

Humphrey is a highly intriguing prospect in the 2029 class that showcased plenty of tools throughout the camp. He has great positional size standing at 6’4” along with good length while showing the ability to run the point and create off the dribble. He showed a good ability playing on the attack, being able to handle the ball, court vision, and smart play. He also showed good athleticism and high energy play to be a high upside recruit to track.   

Jayden Jackson - 2029 - F/C - Monona Grove - Team Herro

As one of the top big men in the region's 2029 class, Jackson showed a lot of his intriguing and high upside tools. The sophomore already stands at 6’8” along with good length and a solid frame. He also has good mobility at his size as a fluid athlete. This was shown with his high level shot blocking ability covering a ton of area around the basket, running the floor, and diving to the basket. As well as being one of the top shot blockers of the camp, he was also one of the best rebounders. Offensively, Jackson also showed a very good passing ability, scored it a high rate inside, and showed growing perimeter skills handling the ball and hitting the three. 

Bennett Johnson - 2029 - F - Arrowhead - CBA

Johnson is a tough, lengthy, and physical 6’5” forward who was very effective making plenty of plays down in the paint on both ends but also showed some perimeter tools as well. He plays with great energy inside whether it was battling for rebounds, as a shot blocker, or finishing in heavy traffic. Johnson also showed that he can step out and hit the three and defend multiple positions effectively. 

Mason Phillips - 2029 - G - East Troy - 24UP

Throughout this year, Phills has consistently played at a high level and that continued into this camp as one of the top guards in attendance. In addition to a good offensive game, Phillips also plays well running the point. The guard can really shoot the ball including being a high percentage spot up shooter from three. He also plays smart with the ball, has good court vision, and is unselfish looking to create for others. 

Jamari Pope - 2029 - G - Madison West 

Pope showcased an intriguing blend of abilities throughout the camp. This includes good size in the backcourt at 6’4”, length, athleticism, and a versatile game. He also played with great energy throughout the camp which was seen with his attacking the glass for putbacks and consistently going strong to the basket and often getting to the free throw line. Pope also created well for others on the attack being able to collapse the defense and find shooters.
