In addition to the four MVP’s of the NY2LA Future Camp which included Max McMullen, Marcus Bonilha, Sheldon Yarbrough, and Arroyo Edwards, there were plenty of other standouts from the camp who shined.

Tyi’zire Briley-Carter - 2030 - PG - MAS

As a freshman, Briley-Carter has an advanced game as he’s already a highly skilled point guard who also showed a good scoring ability too. He plays very quick and shifty, moving so well with the ball in his hands and was getting deep into the paint throughout the camp making plenty of plays. In each of his games he was scoring the ball extremely well getting to the rim in addition to showing a very good passing ability both in the half court and in transition.

Michael Grzesk - 2030 - PG - MAS - Power 5

The freshman was one of the most skilled players of the event. On the first play of the camp, he drilled a three and kept on playing at a high level from there. Whether it was scoring the ball very effectively, creating for teammates, playing very active defensively with plenty of steals, Grzesk was continuously making plays. He is an explosive guard that showed three level scoring ability. Even as just a freshman, Grzesk was recently offered by Milwaukee.

Lavonte Johnson - 2029 - G - Marshall - Meanstreets

Johnson was one of the top players of the camp and has even greater upside. He showed plenty of growth in the camp highlighted by his ability to get to the rim and score the basketball at a high level. Johnson has great size standing at 6’5” to go along with his length and athleticism. He especially shined in his second of two games where he was consistently getting to the basket in both the half court and in transition with his long strides and good moves and finishing the ball at a high rate.

Jonathan Kelley - 2030 - SF - McFarland - Wisconsin Academy

Kelley is a highly competitive and energetic 6’4” wing forward who was one of the most impactful players of the entire camp. The freshman also showed a well-rounded game being able to handle the ball, knock down jumpers in the mid-range and three, rebound the ball at a high rate, and make plenty of plays defensively. He also plays extremely strong on attack and was going right through some big posts to score the ball.

Jude Ogunsola - 2029 - SG - Sun Prairie West - Team Hali

While already a highly productive player, there is plenty more to like from the upside of Ogunsola. He has good positional size as a 6’5” wing guard paired with his ultra athleticism and versatile game. Throughout the camp, Ogunsola showed a good scoring ability playing on the attack. He was often getting to the rim showing his bounce with multiple driving dunks but also the ability to knock down mid-range pullups.

Jayden Thompson - 2030 - F - West Allis Central - Team Herro

It was a breakout party for Thompson who not only was one of the top players of the camp but also looked like one of the top prospects in Wisconsin’s 2030 class. He is a very lengthy, two-way 6’5” forward. He was one of the more active players of the camp, which was shown running the floor hard, his energetic defense both on and off the ball, as well as on the glass. He also showed a versatile offensive game as well which included a ton of dunks, ability to handle the ball and be a physical driver, and hit several threes.

Brighton Webb - 2030 - SF - Elkhart Lake - Team Herro

While just a freshman, there are already so many aspects to like from the game of Webb who has continued to impress over the past year. He is an athletic 6’6” wing forward with a well-rounded game. Not only did he show a good ability to make plays off the dribble but also an improved outside jumper including drilling a pair of early threes. Webb is also highly competitive on the defensive end both while on the ball and in help and showed good shot blocking ability. Webb has continued to look like one of the top 2030 prospects in the Midwest.
