After receiving his first division one offer last year in the spring of his freshman season, the recruitment of Ethan Vahl has continued to build. This has continued over the past few weeks with a pair of visits and an offer for the 6’3” 2028 point guard of Oswego High School (IL) and Young & Reckless.

The first offer Vahl received last year came from Incarnate Word. Since then he has added a few more division one offers coming from Eastern Illinois, Iona, UT-Chattanooga, and Western Illinois. Most recently just a few days ago, he received another offer coming from Valparaiso.

This latest offer came while on a visit to the Indiana school. “The visit was great,” Vahl said about his visit. “Really like how they’re building the culture at Valpo.” Just days after the Valparaiso visit, Vahl took another visit. This one went to Western Kentucky which he called a good visit.

In addition to his continuous building list of offers and recent visits, Vahl has a lengthy list of other programs showing interest in him. This includes several high major programs. The list of programs interested in the guard includes Belmont, Bradley, Brown, Illinois, Miami (OH), Missouri, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Northwestern, San Diego, South Dakota State, among others.

Next up Vahl is his junior season at Oswego. Regarding his upcoming high school season, he is looking to “keep growing as a leader and become a more complete player on both ends of the floor,” in addition to trying to win a state title.
