Five more sophomores to track in the upcoming high school season. The first issue included Cade Bezik, Sola Kishida, Blake Przybylski, Luke Ramminger, and Juel Turner. 

Emaurion Jackson - 2029 - SG - East St. Louis

Jackson made a significant impact in helping East St. Louis winning the Illinois 3A state championship last season and should see an even larger role with some key graduations to the Flyers. His impact last year included scoring 9 points in just 13 minutes in the state semifinals win. There is much to like from his game and highly impactful play as a lengthy athletic 6’4” wing guard. He plays tough as a downhill driver as well as his tough defensive versatile play. 

Taylor Matthews - 2029 - PG - Davis Brothers Elite

If Matthews showed what he did with Davis Brothers Elite earlier this year, he will be a name to know this winter with Sun Prairie East. His grassroots season included being one of the top players at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational in June. He has great playmaking abilities off the dribble This is with his handle, moves with the ball, shooting off the dribble, and passing on the move. 

Jude Ogunsola - 2029 - SF - Team Hali

Ogunsola is an emerging talent that has shown a lot of abilities that he can be amongst the top recruits in Wisconsin’s 2029 class. This includes being 6’5” with good length and an explosive athlete. He is a slashing wing who scores it effectively in both the half court and in transition. His standout play also extends to the defensive side as a versatile standout defender. Look for the exciting wing to have a big senior for Sun Prairie West.  

Jackson Rykal - 2029 - PG - Wisconsin Blizzard

Over the past couple of years, Rykal has continued to show his high skill level playing with the Wisconsin Blizzard. This included this season being named first team all-tournament at the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish. As a player entering his sophomore season, Rykal has advanced point guard tools but is also a skilled scorer. His point guard ability includes strong handles, decision making, court vision, and being a skilled passer. After seeing some minutes at the varsity level last season as a freshman, look for Rykal to make a bigger impact this year for Bay Port. 

Drew Schnurman - 2029 - G - Deerfield 

Down the stretch of his freshman season, Schnurman really emerged making some key contributions in the state playoffs getting Deerfield to the state title game. This included going 3-3 from three in a one point state semifinals win. Much more than just a shooter, he also has good size in the backcourt but also good playmaking ability with the ball in his hands. Now with a full high school season ahead of him, look for him to be a popular name.
