Toledo was able to add to their already strong 2027 recruiting class by landing one of the top big men in the Midwest. This came from Tref Rademaker, a 6’11” post of DME Academy (WI) and Power 5. Rademaker spent the first two years of his high school career at West De Pere before making the move to DME Academy last year for his junior season.

The commitment comes just after Rademaker made his official visit to the Ohio school a couple of weekends ago. Toledo had initially offered him back in May of this year following the live period.

Over the past couple of years, Rademaker had been one of the more sought after big men in the entire Midwest region building a very lengthy offer list division one programs. This offer list went into the double digits for the stretch big man. Toledo was able to beat out plenty of others as he was also offered by Belmont, Boston University, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Southern, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, Oral Roberts, Wyoming, and others.

Rademaker marks the third commitment for Toledo’s 2027 recruiting class. He joins Tony Cornett, a 6’7” wing of Westville North (OH) and Nova Village, as well as Bryce Curry, a 6’4” guard of Lakota West (OH). Just as Rademaker did, both Cornett and Curry each had double digit division one offers. With the addition of Rademaker, this makes a recruiting class that could be amongst the best in the MAC when it’s complete.
