It has been a busy few days of visits for one of Wisconsin’s top prospects in the 2029 class. This was for Jayden Jackson, a 6’8”power forward of Monona Grove High School and Team Herro. In just this week, the sophomore made visits to both Wisconsin and then Marquette. 

On Saturday, Jackson made the very short trip over to Madison for a visit for their football game. “It was good. It was surreal going from a kid watching the football games on tv to actually being on the field,” Jackson said about the visit. When asked his thoughts on the Badgers program, he said “I just like the atmosphere. The coaching staff are really good people and the players are cool as well. And it is close to home.” The Wisconsin visit follows him going to their elite camp this summer. 

Then just a few days later on Wednesday, Jackson made a visit to another in-state program in Marquette. “Watching practice, I talked to Coach Berry and Shaka as well,” he said about the visit. “The coaching staff was really nice and the players as well. It was just a really good atmosphere, lots of good vibes and energy.”

After this pair of visits, Jackson has one more visit he is looking to make in the near future to Iowa State. 

Over the past year, Jackson has emerged as not just one of the top big men in Wisconsin’s 2029 class but also the entire Midwest region. In his freshman season at Monona Grove, Jackson averaged 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 steals. His grassroots season with Team Herro included winning the NY2LA Association Championship at Summer Jam in July. Look for the high major interest only to continue to grow for him as he gets further along in his high school career.
