Over the course of the spring and summer grassroots season, one of the top 2027 players on the NY2LA Association was KJ Cross while playing with the Wisconsin Dynasty. This has led to the 6’5” wing of Madison Memorial seeing continued growth in his recruitment.

During his junior season with Madison Memorial, Cross averaged 12 points and 3.5 rebounds per game helping them all the way to the state championship game. Then over the following months, the game of the wing greatly took off. Over the course of the grassroots season, he was named a top performer at multiple NY2LA tournaments including the Grassroots Showcase, Spring Extravaganza, Next Level Invitational, Grassroots Invitational, and Summer Jam.

With this, Cross has continued to see his recruitment build with interest from both division three and NAIA programs. Amongst these are Ripon, Viterbo, UW-La Crosse,  UW-Stevens Point, UW-Superior, UW-Whitewater, and Wisconsin Lutheran.

At the end of last month on the 28th, Cross took a visit to one of these schools in UW-Whitewater. “Great,” is how he described the visit. Adding in, “loved the coaching staff and even saw a player there and the campus is great.”

“I want a program that has belief in me and is willing to go out there and compete everyday and make everybody not only better as a player but in character too,” Cross said about what he wants in his future college.
