There has been plenty of movement to this list combined with some high profile transfers along with some major stock boosting players, though there are still some locks for this first team with national level talent. Here are the projections for first team all-state in Illinois with three more teams to follow. 

Cole Kelly - 2028 - SF - Neuqua Valley

With everything he has shown throughout his high school career, Kelly is a lock for this list. This includes being a first team 4A all-state last year as a sophomore. The 6’7” wing forward is one of the more complete players in the entire nation and should have Neuqua Valley be among the top teams in the state this season. 

Mason Martin - 2027 - SG - Neuqua Valley

Martin really emerged in his junior season in which he earned second team all-state. As well as being a 6’5” two guard, Martin is also one of the top shooters in Illinois. With the growth of his game, Martin also became a top one hundred fifty player in the nation's 2027 class. Martin is committed to Illinois. 

Markese Peoples - 2027 - G - St. Laurence 

While Peoples earned second team 4A all-state honors last season, he was one of the top states breakout players over the past several months. He is a powerful guard who has continued to build his all-around game including has proven to be an aggressive lockdown defender. If he continues to play as he did over the past few months, look for him to more than deserve his spot here. Peoples is committed to Central Michigan. 

Brady Pettigrew - 2028 - G - Bolingbrook 

Pettigrew is another lock for this first team. The 6’4” guard ranks among the top twenty five players in the entire nation's 2028 class. Last season as a sophomore he earned 4A first team all-state honors and led Bolingbrook to the sectional finals. Then during the grassroots season he was named MVP of the 16U EYBL

Ed Stasys - 2027 - F - Benet Academy

Stasys played a prominent role in Benet's last season run to the state title game and should only grow in his larger role. He earned third team all-state honors last season and with the graduation of fellow big man Colin Stack, Stasys will have the opportunity to flourish. He was also one of the biggest stock boosters in the region over the spring and summer months earning a lengthy list of division one offers.
