From his play with Wauwatosa West as well as Power 5, Bear Collins has established himself as one of the top guards in Wisconsin’s 2029 class. This has led to the guard getting a start with his recruitment. 

Collins recruitment got a real jump this month when he received his first division one offer. This scholarship offer came from Milwaukee. “The feeling was so surreal, it was really something I dreamed and wished for that became a reality,” Collins said about his feeling on picking up the offer. When asked if there was anything he likes about Milwaukee, he said “I really like the atmosphere and how all the players are one big family.”

The offer for Collins comes following him attending Milwaukee’s recent elite camp. “The experience was amazing, just learning how they play and what they expect from their players,” he said about his time at the Milwaukee elite camp. 

When asked about his game, Collins said “I'm a two-way combo guard who can make plays for others, defend the other team's best player, a three level scorer and a great leader and teammate.” During his last high school season for Wauwatosa West, he was one of the most productive freshmen in Wisconsin. This included averaging 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals for one of the most talented teams in the state. His success then continued into his grassroots season with Power 5. This included being named 15U first team all-tournament at the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish Tournament.
