The first team of Wisconsin preseason picks included a ton of talent with Kager Knueppel, Will Krueger, Jalen Brown, Jack Kohnen, and Donovan Davis. Here are the picks for the second team with all these players having a legitimate claim to the first team. 

Zeak Jones - 2027 - G - Dominican

In his all-state junior season, Jones was one of the leading scorers in all of Wisconsin. He did this by averaging 25.8 points per game while also averaging 6.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1 steal per game. Jones is a 6’4” guard that is a pure scorer who can get it done from all three levels. Jones is committed to Northern Illinois. 

Colin Julien - 2027 - G - Whitefish Bay

Julien was a huge reason why Whitefish Bay won the division two state title last season. He earned all-state honorable mention honors while averaging 18.4 points shooting 53.1% from the field and 41.6% from three in addition to adding in 5.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks. The lengthy and versatile 6’3” combo guard is committed to St. Thomas. 

Joey Kohnen - 2028 - SG - Slinger

Out of the five divisions of all-state teams last season from the WBCA, Kohnen was the only underclassmen to make the list. He averaged 15.7 points, 4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in helping Slinger advance all the way to the state championship game. As well as his size in the backcourt, Kohnen is also a highly skilled guard. He currently has offers from Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. 

Eli Krueger - 2027 - F/C - McFarland

With everything Krueger has shown throughout his high school career and his continued development over the past several months, Krueger has a real argument for the first team but ends up here. He earned all-state honors in his junior season while averaging 19.8 points. He was a big reason why McFarland advanced all the way to the state tournament. Look for Krueger to be the top big men in the state and finish the season on either this second or even first team list. The 6’9” post is committed to Colorado State. 

Austin Luchetti - 2027 - F - Monona Grove

While Luchetti missed all of his junior season due to an injury, there is no denying he is one of the top players in the state. Going back to his sophomore season before his injury, he averaged 15.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game. At 6’7” with his athleticism and high motor style of play, he is an incredibly impactful and winning player. Luchetti is committed to Northern Illinois.
