Over the past twelve months, there have been plenty of headlines in the basketball career of Alex Robbins of Team Herro. This has included his recruitment, change of scenery, and class for the 6’7” wing forward.

It was just a year ago in September of last year when Robbins received his first division one offer. This came from Western Michigan. “The Western Michigan culture is super fun and the atmosphere is full of cool people,” he said about his thoughts on the MAC program.

Over this summer back in July, Robbins then added his second offer which came from Green Bay. “I like the way Green Bay is straight forward. They are always straight to work,” Robbins said about the Phoenix.

As well as his pair of division one offers, Robbins is receiving interest from a number of other mid-major programs across the region. The list has continued to build following his standout grassroots season on the EYBL with Team Herro. This includes Miami (OH), St. Louis, Toledo, and Valparaiso who are showing the most interest. For visits, he is planning on making one to Miami (OH) this month for their first football game of the season.

After previously attending Ioa-Scandinavia High School (WI) where he averaged 22.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game this past season, Robbins is making a move for this upcoming season. This will be making the move east to New York to OSL. “I choose OSL due to previous success they have had with wings. Players like Ian Jackson, Posh Alexander, Elijah Moore, and more at the college level. It's a gritty program with great connections. The coaches also talked to me about my development, and what they will do to help me improve. The coaches care, and the energy they carry is amazing,” he said about the move. As well as the change of teams, he will also be making the move from the 2027 class to the 2028 class.
