As we head further into commitment season, another of Illinois top 2027 players has made their college decision. The newest being Cole DuBois, a 5’11” point guard of East Peoria High School and Elevate.

This week, DuBois announced his commitment to UNC Greensboro, a division one program in the Southern Conference. “Really everything,” he said were the top things he liked about UNC Greensboro. He added in “How culture was a big part of what they did there, the coaching staff was amazing, how the players interacted with each other, the atmosphere at practice and on campus, and how competitive they were in practice.” The point guard selected the Spartans over his other offers coming from Eastern Illinois and Incarnate Word.

UNC Greensboro offered DuBois back in May of this year following the live period. The commitment comes after DuBois just took his visit there last weekend which he called great. “It just really felt like home, from the facilities and campus, to talking to the players and the belief the coaching staff had in me.”

In DuBois, UNC Greensboro is landing a player who earned second team all-state by the IBCA and honorable mention all-state honors from the AP during his junior season. In this season, he also helped East Peoria win a regional championship. Then during the grassroots season with Elevate on the UAA, he averaged 13.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
