There will be plenty of players in the upcoming high school season who will be making major steps on the hardwood. Here are five who could be making that major step in their game.

Alex Cohan – 2028 – G/F – Full Package

Throughout this past grassroots season, Cohen consistently showed plenty of upside and tools during his time with Full Package. While he has great upside, Cohen also proved to be one of the better 2028 wings on the NY2LA Association. He has a good blend of versatility to go along with his physical tools at 6’6” with his plus length. The wing’s offensive game continued to develop throughout the season with his ability to be a mismatch with his size, ability to handle the ball, as well to hit the three. Look out for a breakout junior season from the wing with Rolling Meadows.

Braylon DeCleene – 2028 – G – Wisconsin Blizzard

It was a big grassroots season for DeCleene playing with the Wisconsin Blizzard. This included being named a top 16U standout at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza during the May live period in a 4-0 tournament. The 6’1” combo guard excels with his offensive skill set. He shoots it well from three while also being a skilled playmaker who moves well with the ball in his hands. Along with his outside shot making, the crafty guard has also shown the ability to create for himself around the paint and mid-range.

Josiah Hall – 2028 – SG – Midwest Renegade

Hall has a lot of the tools to really emerge in his upcoming junior season with St. Ignatius. He has great size in the backcourt standing at 6’4” along with being a strong guard along with his offensive skills. Hall shoots it very well from three as well to being an aggressive downhill driver who finishes it well around the paint.

Noah Hester – 2028 – SF – Illinois Future

After a strong sophomore season at Taft High School, Hester really emerged this summer showing great upside. He is a 6’5” wing who has proven to be a standout on both sides of the ball. He is a high energy defender who can defend multiple positions effectively. His offensive games has continued to grow especially with his ability to get all the way to the rim.

Will Still – 2028 – PG – 24UP

Still took major strides in his sophomore season for Waukesha West while averaging 10 points and 2.7 assists per game. These strides in his game continued into the grassroots season. Still shined throughout proving to be one the purer point guards in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. He has proven to be a very high IQ point guard with a great ability to create for others with his strong passing ability while also shooting it well from the outside.
