While Wisconsin’s 2027 class is one of its most talented in many years and includes several high major commitments already, there is also plenty of under the radar talent. One of these being James Brady, a 6’10” post of Tigerton High School and the Wisconsin Playmakers.

The recruitment of Brady has started to get moving over the past few months, but is not at the level for a player with all his accomplishments already alongside his great upside. While he still has a year left in his high school basketball career, Brady has also proven his dominance on the hardwood. This includes leading Tigerton to an undefeated regular season during this past season and advancing to the sectional finals. In the season, he averaged a double-double with 24.6 points and 12.2 rebounds. Even while being among the states leading scorers, he did so incredibly efficiently shooting 66.6% from the field. This was in addition to 2.9 assists, 2.1 steals, and 2.9 blocks per game. This earned him all-state honors from the WBCA in addition to conference player of the year in the CWC North.

The recruitment has been slow for Brady but has started to heat up recently. This has included taking a visit, a recent offer, interest from a growing number or schools, and upcoming visits. Last month, the senior post picked up an offer from Elmhurst University, a division three program in Illinois. “I really like the coaching staff for Elmhurst,” Brady said.

More recently in the recruitment of Brady, he took a visit to Lakeland earlier this month on the 6th. Next up in his recruitment, he is planning on taking visits to Elmhurst, UW-Platteville, and UW-Stevens Point. Then in his senior season, Brady has a couple of lofty goals for his upcoming senior season. This includes winning a state championship as well to reaching the lofty 2,000 career milestone.
