Each of these five players have shown plenty of growth and upside in their game throughout 2026. They are all under the radar players that should be on college coaches radars.

Traverse Emery – 2028 – G/F – Wisconsin Legends

Emery was a key piece of the Wisconsin Legends run to the championship game of the NY2LA Association bracket in July while knocking off an EYBL team twice. While he did show his scoring ability with 15 points in the semifinals win, his impact went much further. He is a 6’3” wing that consistently did a bit of everything for his team. This included playing big inside defensively up against division one level forwards, blocking shots out of help, rebounding effectively on both ends, and high energy plays.

Brayden Golabowski – 2027 – G – 24UP

Throughout the grassroots season, Golabowski was consistently making a great impact with his well-rounded game. As well to being able to do a bit of everything on the floor, Golabowski has good physical tools as a strong 6’4” guard. This is in addition to playing with good energy and physicality. His game includes the ability to be an aggressive straight-line driver, run the point, rebound very well as a guard, and is a consistent spot up three point shooter. He is generating interest from division three programs for both basketball and football.

Ian Newble – 2027 – G/F – D Rice Elite

With his consistent and impactful play throughout the spring and summer, Newble needs to be on college coaches’ radars. As well to having good size on the wings at 6’6” and plus length and can really do a bit of everything. This is highlighted by his ability to defend multiple positions very well, consistently hit threes, handle the ball, and has good athleticism.

Daniel Spychala – 2027 – PF – Full Package

Spychala is an intriguing prospect with plenty of upside. Not only is he 6’7” but is also a mobile forward with a versatile game. His skill set includes being a consistent spot up shooter, being able to handle the ball and attack the basket, is a good passing forward, and defends multiple positions. His game has come a long way over the past year and should be on division three programs’ radars.

Drevaun Veal – 2027 – SG – ALL IN

While Veal may be an under the radar senior, he is certainty one that should be on college coaches’ radars. Back in July at the NY2LA Summer Jam tournament he had a couple of the top scoring games of the entire tournament. This included games of 29 points and 27 points. Along with being 6’3”, Veal has a strong build to be an aggressive downhill driver. This is in addition to be being a plus spot up shooter and his energetic play.
