Plenty of more shooters to feature as our first group included Emery Woehrmann, Ty Smith, Brady Welch, Brayden Smith, and Grant Federer. Here are five more who can light it up from the outside.

Wyatt Ball – 2028 – SG – D Rice Elite

Ball and his great shooting ability were a key factor to much of the success of the 2028 D Rice Elite team this season. This included going 4-0 at the Grassroots Invitational followed by winning the NY2LA Association at Summer Jam, just in the month of July. All season long, Ball proved to be a knockdown three-point shooter. When spotting up from deep, the two guard has such a pure jumper who is already ready to shoot the ball and has great confidence.

Brown Brown – 2028 – G/F – MidPro Academy

Over the past year Brown has shown the ability to be one of the top shooters in Illinois’ 2028 class and is a prospect to know. This started with a third team all-state season with Taylorville and only continued with MidPro throughout the spring and summer. As well to being a pure shooter, Brown also has good length and size on the wings at 6’7”. He picked up his first division one offer this summer from Northern Illinois.

Parker Mitchell – 2027 – SG – Team Herro

After hitting nearly 40% from his threes in his junior season at Wauwatosa East while scoring over 10 points per game, Mitchell was even better with his jumper over the spring and summer. He had plenty of big shooting moments throughout the grassroots season including a game going 5-5 from three at Summer Jam as well as the Spring Extravaganza tournament hitting 13 threes in just 4 games. Look for Mitchell to have a big senior season and should be getting on more college coaches’ radars with not just his shooting but with his all-around play and energy.

Kyle Nazos – 2028 – PG – Mercury Elite

There are few 2028’s in the region who grew their game as much as Nazos over the past few months and much of this was with his shooting. Throughout the entire grassroots season, the point guard only continued to grow his game to be one of the top shooters on the NY2LA Association. He ended the season in a big way which included a 33-point game at the NY2LA Summer Jam while hitting six threes just in the first half of this game. Nazos is a shooter who can quickly get hot and knock down threes at an extremely high percentage.

George Rauschenburg – 2027 – SG – WM Premier

Behind his shooting, the two guard had some big moments during the grassroots season with WM Premier. This included hitting five threes in a single half of a game at NY2LA Summer Jam and hit four threes in just the opening six minutes of a game at the Grassroots Invitational. Rauschenburg is a high percentage spot up shooter who moves well without the ball and can quickly get into his shot as well to being able to shoot it off the dribble too.
