Over the past year, Trey Kloock has burst onto the scene. With his breakout play, the 6’5” two guard of Dublin Jerome High School and Ohio Premier has started to draw the attention of college coaches.

The growth in his game started in his sophomore season at Dublin Jerome High School in which he earned all-league second team in the OCC Cardinal division. Then into the grassroots season, his game only continued to grow. At both the Grassroots Showcase in April and Grassroots Invitational in July, Kloock was named a top standout at each tournament. “My season with Ohio Premier was phenomenal, playing up 17u really helped my game in a lot of areas. It helped me improve in all areas making it easier for me in June with high school ball,” Kloock said about his season.

Much of his high-level play was driven by his shooting ability. Throughout the grassroots season, Kloock showcased his knockdown shooting ability and looked to be one of the top shooters in the entire region, if not the nation. His pure shooting including hitting seven threes in a single game at the Grassroots Invitational tournament during the first of the July live periods. As well to his shooting, Kloock also has great positional size in the backcourt as a 6’5” two guard along with great length too. He moves extremely well without the ball and with his size, consistently hits his shots right over defenders.

Led by his great shooting ability, Kloock has started to get himself on the radar of some division one programs. This includes early interest from schools in the Big Ten, Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, and Southern Conference.

“Bump up all of my stats by a lot and lead my team to a OHSAA state championship,” Kloock stated about his upcoming junior high school season. As well, he is looking to improve all parts of his game to become a more well-rounded player.
