With his breakout grassroots season with ALL IN, George Gray has started to get himself on the radar of some division one programs. This includes the 6’6” rising senior wing of Oak Park River Forest High School (IL) taking a visit recently to a MAC school. Throughout this year, there are few players who have continued to improve their game as much as George Gray in Illinois’ 2027 class.

The visit for Gray was to Bowling Green. “Bowling Green was really nice. I like the campus and the coaching staff a lot,” he said about his visit to the Ohio school. In addition to the interest from Bowling Green, he is also receiving interest from several other division one programs in addition to some division two ones.

Over the past few months, the game of Gray has continued to greatly progress. “My season with ALL IN was very beneficial for me. I learned a lot from the coaches. I developed more guard skills which I think is going to translate to the next level. Overall, I am really appreciative of my experience with ALL IN.” His grassroots season included being named a top performer at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational tournament in which he had games of 24 points and 19 points.

“I feel like I will be able to defend at a high level and knock down shots in college. I’m going to try and do anything I can to help contribute to winning for my team,” Gray said about his game translating to the next level. The rising senior has a unique blend of abilities with his length and positional size on the wings at 6’6” as well to his skills on both ends of the floor and a high basketball IQ. There are few players in Illinois’ 2027 class with his versatility both offensively and defensively. Not only as he shown his ability to defend both guards and forwards effectively but also a three-level scoring ability including his ability to hit the three at a high percentage.
