There are few players in the Midwest region who have seen their recruitment grow as much as Alex Armstrong over the past few months. The long 6’6” wing guard of WM Premier and Hudsonville High School has gone from an under the recruit to one of the most sought-after players in Michigan’s 2027 class.

During this past winter during his junior season, Armstrong was more on the radar of NAIA and division three programs. In December he was offered by Taylor University followed by one from Hope College in January. Then in May, he received a division two offer from Northwood University.

It wasn’t until just last month in June when he received his first division one offer which came from Boston University. Since then, he has continued to add several more division one offers coming from UIC, Central Michigan, Southern Illinois, Canisius, Stonehill, and Eastern Michigan.

Most recently in his recruitment he took a visit to one of the schools in Central Michigan. “My visit went great loved every minute of it, facilities and dorms were great,” Armstrong said about his visit to the Mount Pleasant campus. When asked if there is anything he likes about them, he stated “Love the facilities and the coaching staff. As well as it being close to home.”

In addition to his quickly growing list of offers, Armstrong also has plenty of other programs showing interest in him. This includes American University, Colgate, Loyola Chicago, Liberty, Brown, St. Joe’s, FAU, and Western Michigan. Next up for the rising senior are visits going to Colgate and Southern Illinois.
