It was a summer of stock boosting for many players across the entire region. Here are five that especially fit that label.

Jordan Farrington-Coleman – 2027 – PG – Team Hali

Farrington-Coleman was the breakout star of the NY2LA Summer Jam tournament. He was a huge piece in Team Hali winning the NY2LA Association championship. He had multiple standout games including scoring 24 points in the quarterfinals. He is an athletic and skilled guard with a good ability to run the point in addition to high level shot making ability hitting five threes in a single game. Farrington-Coleman should be drawing plenty of college interest as he moves into his senior year.  

Kale Graff – 2028 – PG – Wisconsin Legends

There are few players who impressed as much as Graff between the Grassroots Invitational and Summer Jam tournaments. This included him leading his team to go undefeated at the Grassroots Invitational and then to the title game of Summer Jam while defeating Team Herro EYBL twice. Graff is an incredibly versatile and high IQ 6’2” point guard. Whether it was with his knockdown outside shooting, creating for others, tough versatile defense, or aggressive rebounding, Graff was doing it all. Between the two tournaments, he was playing like one of the top guards in Wisconsin’s 2028 class.

Matthew Lojeski Jr. – 2028 – G – Midwest Mayhem

As well to his high skill level, the rising junior has also good size in the backcourt at 6’3”. At the Summer Jam tournament, he was one of the top scorers at the 16U level. This included scoring 31 points in a single game. As well to being one of the top shooters of the tournament while hitting six threes in just that one game he also proved to be a three-level scorer with the ability to create for himself off the dribble. While an under the radar player, if Lojeski continues to play like he has recently, the 2028 guard will get himself on the radar of college coaches with all his translatable tools.  

Chris Retic – 2027 – SF – Jay Academy

While Retic was a huge stock riser during the spring, this was once again the case during July. This included him being on the of the top players at the Summer Jam tournament leading Jay Academy to the platinum championship game. He had one of the top games of tournament in which he scored 27 points highlighted by him developing his shot creating ability. There are few holes in the game of the uber athletic, lengthy 6’7” wing forward that is a highly impactful player on both ends. Retic is one of the top available wings in Wisconsin’s 2027 class.

Hayden Schroeder – 2027 – PF – Young & Reckless

Schroeder entered the summer with a few division one offers but his recruitment has really taken off as his offer list has moved into double digits. Just in the month of July he has added offers from Elon, Air Force, Penn, Buffalo, and Western Illinois as well to ones from Illinois State and Valpo in June. As well to all of his abilities in the paint on both ends highlighted, the 6’8” forward has continued to add to his game with a growing outside shooting ability.
