Throughout the grassroots season, one of the fastest rising players in Wisconsin’s 2027 class was Quinn Wesenberg while playing with the Wisconsin Legends. This follows his junior season in which the 6’4” two guard averaged 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for Bonduel. For this, he earned all-state honors from the WBCA.

“We went 24-10 playing in tournaments and showcases throughout the Midwest. It was great to compete and fight for wins,” Wesenberg stated about his grassroots season with the Wisconsin Legends. During the season, he was one of the top guards on the NY2LA Association. Over the summer this included being named a top performer at both the Grassroots Invitational and Summer Jame tournaments during each of the two July live periods.

With the rise of his game, Wesenberg has continued to get himself on a greater number of college coaches’ radars. This includes interest from both division two and three level programs. As part of this, he taken one visit to date having gone to Hillsdale College, a division two program in Michigan. “It was a great visit,” Wesenberg stated about the trip. “The coaches have built a strong culture and are really committed to their players. The campus and sports facilities are impressive. We had some great conversations about both academics and the future of the basketball program.”

Wesenberg sees aspects of his game from both sides of the ball helping him at the next level. “Defensively, I am a highly intelligent and long defender that understands team defense and can stop the other team's best scorers from getting easy looks. Offensively, I have a really good balance between fundamental ball-skills and athletic ability. I know when to pass, get to my mid-range, shoot the three, or attack the rim, and I am very efficient in my decision making.”
