With all his abilities and physical tools, Eden Vinyard has continued to be one of the most sought-after forwards in the Midwest’s 2027 class. The 6’8” forward of Ferndale High School (MI) and D Rice Elite has continued to pull in scholarship offers as well to recently taking a visit.

Vinyard has a lengthy list of offers coming from both mid major and high major programs. This includes earlier this month being offered by Cleveland State as well to Ball State last month in June. Other programs to have also previously offered him include Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Toledo, among others. He also has interest from several other high major programs. This included Clemson, Michigan State, Penn State, Seton Hall, and Washington.

Most recently in his recruitment earlier this week, Vinyard took a visit to one of the programs who has already offered him in Toledo. “My visit to Toledo was great,” Vinyard said about his trip to the MAC school in Ohio. “I really enjoyed getting to know the coaching staff and learning more about the program and the culture they're building. Everyone made me feel welcome, and it was good to see how they develop their players on and off the court. It was definitely a positive experience.”

During the two July live periods, Vinyard shined playing with D Rice Elite. He was named a top performer at both the NY2LA Grassroots Invitational and Summer Jam tournaments. “My summer with D Rice Elite was great. It was a chance for me to keep developing my game while also having fun. One of the best parts was getting to finish my AAU career playing alongside some of my old teammates and friends that I grew up playing with. Being able to go to battle with those guys one last time made the summer really special.” He helped D Rice Elite go undefeated at the Grassroots Invitational and then make it to the championship game of Summer Jam before missing the game with an injury.

Vinyard has a tremendous blend of translatable tools for the next level. As well to being 6’8” with great length, solid build, and fluid athleticism, the forward has continued to show a growing all-around skill set. He is a tough attacking forward who can handle the ball as well to being very effective in transition and out of the dunker spot. He has also flashed a developing jumper both hitting spot up threes and pulling up in the mid-range.
