From the standouts at the 16U level of the Summer Jam, we now move onto another talented level of players with the stock boosters.

Detiz Johnson – 2028 – PG – Courts Vision Elite

Johnson is a skilled point guard who was always looking to get into the paint and make plays as well as make plays on the defensive side. He plays tough defensively on the ball pressuring it effectively with his quickness being tough to beat and also force turnovers. Over multiple games, Johnson continued to score the ball going to the basket seeing the floor well and using his shiftiness to break down defenders though he can also hit some jumpers off the dribble too.

Lavant Johnson – 2028 – SG – Team Herro Elite

As well to scoring 18 points in his opening game, Johnson displayed a great ability to impact a game in a variety of other ways. He is a long and bouncy 6’3” wing guard. With these tools combined with his defensive energy he was making plenty of plays on this end. This included good on ball defense as well as blocking shots out to the perimeter as well to getting up at the rim to block them. Johnson scored it well going to the basket in addition to having a few dunks in the game both in transition and from the dunker spot.

Nico Kleist – 2028 – PG – 24UP

Kleist had one of the top scoring performances of the entire tournament in which he scored 33 points. He plays well creating with the ball in his hands and can really shoot it. Whether creating for himself off the dribble hitting multiple step back threes or off the catch, Kleist was hitting jumpers at a very high percentage. He also scored it effectively going to the basket with good handle and moves going right through the defense hitting mid-range jumpers and floaters over the top.

Liam Laidig – 2028 – SF – Kessel Heat

Laidig is a fast-rising wing forward who has continued to grow his game and be highly impactful this season with Kessel Heat. He is a strong and athletic 6’5” wing forward who plays with good energy being all over the court making winning plays. This included flying in to block shots and grab rebounds all around him. He was also an effective scorer with 18 points in his first game up against the eventual champions of the tournament. Laidig scored it very aggressively all around the paint and going to the basket doing so on drives, put backs scoring right through defenders, and posting up.

Gergely Molnar – 2029 – SF – Full Package

It was a true stook boosting tournament for Molnar who showed plenty of tools. As well to being 6’6”, he has a well-rounded game helping him score 16 points in a game. This included being a high percentage spot up shooter hitting a trio of threes. Molnar also made a big impact scoring going to the basket on the drives and cuts, finishing strong inside, being able to defend both inside and out well including blocking shots.

Jase Navis – 2028 – G/F – Team Herro

Navis has a great blend of physical tools and skill set. He has positional size on the wings standing at 6’7” along with his solid frame. This was in addition to showing good abilities with the ball. At his size, he moves so well with the ball going right past defenders often getting all the way to the basket as well as pulling up in the mid-range to hit shots. In his opening game of the tournament, he scored an efficient 18 points.

Adam Tribul – 2028 – G – D Rice Elite

While Tribul had a few double figures scoring games as part of his teams deep and talented backcourt. He turned his best game in the 16U Association championship win. In this win, the guard scored 15 points while hitting four threes. This included some clutch ones including one that started a run to build the lead into double digits as well as another with just over two minutes left in the game. He also hit a pair of free throws with 8 seconds to play to seal the win. As well to hit knockdown shooting, Tribul also showed a good passing ability.
