Five more players from the NY2LA Summer Jam who all shined and made a major impact for their team.

Demarion Epperson – 2027 – SF – Gxfted Elite

It was another tournament in which Epperson was a standout with his high energy, aggressive style of play. This was evident from the 6’4” forward being a dominant rebounder on each end, playing tough defense in the paint and on the perimeter, scoring strong baskets at the basket, and getting on the floor for loose balls. Epperson has continued to be one of the most dominant rebounders all season on the NY2LA Association grabbing everything around him and flying in to rebound out of area just being too physical for opponents.

TJ Foy – 2027 – G/F – Wisconsin Dynasty

Foy is a versatile and impactful wing who has continued to improve his game throughout the grassroots season helping them to plenty of wins. On the offensive side, the 6’3” wing was very effective playing on the attack both moving well with the ball and playing with some physicality. Foy also played big around the paint finishing strong contact for multiple and one finishes in a single game. On the defensive side, Foy plays with good energy and can defend both guards and forwards well.

Cole Haliburton – 2027 – SF – Chapman Basketball Academy Gold

Haliburton showed a versatile ability to play inside out on both ends of the floor. He stands at 6’4” but plays much bigger inside defensively even matching up well versus a 6’8” post. Offensively, he has a well-rounded game as he can score it strong around the basket but also play out on the perimeter handling the ball and make plays off the dribble.

Ian Newble – 2027 – SF – D Rice Elite

It was another tournament of Newble showing that he can do a bit of everything on the court. This started in his first game scoring in double figures just in the second half of a win. He was very effective going to the basket with multiple and one finishes but can also shoot the three. Though the lengthy 6’7” small forward can also do so much more. With his size, length, and quickness he showed a good ability to defend one through four effectively. The swiss army knife also plays with good energy, can rebound at a high rate, and handle the ball.

Matthew Peeters – 2027 – SG – Wisconsin Blizzard

After some standout games the previous weekend at the Grassroots Invitational, Peeters was back at Summer Jam with multiple high scoring games. The 6’2” two guard has a versatile offensive game and scores it efficiently. This included 16 points in a win. Peeters can really shoot the ball spotting up hitting plenty of threes during this tournament, can play on the attack getting all the way to the rim, can be a primary ball handler, and passes it well with good decision making.
