Here are the best of the best from day two of the NY2LA Summer Jam.

Joseph Arnold – 2028 – PG – D Rice Elite

Arnold made a big impact in each of his two games on Friday ad this 16U D Rice Elite team started the tournament undefeated at 2-0 with wins of Kessel Heat and Team Herro. In each of the games, Arnold was consistently beating his man with his quickness and moves to both score it finishing so well amongst a lot of size and distribute it passing it so well on the attack. This included 16 points in their win over Team Herro.

Tyson Busch – 2027 – PG – Racine Truth

Busch shined helping Racine Truth get a close win versus a good Jay Academy squad. Not only did he score 24 points but also excelled with his point guard abilities. This was highlighted by his outside shooting and distributing in this game. Busch drilled five threes in this one game. He was just as good creating for others with his high-level passing ability and court vision dishing out several assists in the game. He also made some clutch plays in the final two minutes including an off the dribble three and pair of free throws in the final seconds to seal the win.

Kale Graff – 2028 – PG – Wisconsin Legends

Graff has continued to do more and more on the court and really showed in the Legends win over Team Herro. Not only did he do a bit of everything but also came through in the big moments. This including a three in the finals seconds of regulation to tie it up and send to overtime. Not only did he lead them with 16 points in the win but also contributed greatly with his point guard play creating for others and rebounding so well as a guard.

Chris Retic – 2027 – SF – Jay Academy

Retic had one of the top scoring performances of the day in which he scored 27 points. He got off to an incredibly hot start hitting a trio of threes in the opening several minutes as well to a pair of dunks to have scored 18 points at the half. The shooting ability of Retic has continued to grow as he was consistently hitting them off the dribble as well to showing his great athleticism blocking shots and throwing down highlight reel put back dunks. The 6’7” rising senior is one of the most under the radar players in all of Wisconsin.

Brayden Smith – 2027 – SG – Mammoth

In each of his two games, Smith scored the ball exceptionally well. This started with 30 points in his first game followed by 22 points in the next one. Smith has continued to show he’s one of the top scorers in Wisconsin’s 2028 class and that was taken to another level today as he hit seven threes all in his first game. More than just his scoring he also passed it very well consistently looking to distribute the ball and had some good takes to the basket.
