While there were only four rounds of games to start off the Summer Jam tournament, there was still plenty of stellar performances worthy on inclusion. Three more great days of hoops ahead.
Tyson Busch – 2027 – PG – Racine Truth
Busch helped his team to the win with both his scoring ability as well as his point guard play. Not only did he score 16 points but also dished out 6 assists. Busch can really shoot the basketball hitting three threes. In the win, he also made plenty of great passes on the attack with good vision and pinpoint passes right through traffic. He also played with great energy right from the opening tip with a pair of early steals in the first few minutes playing tough on ball defense and getting on the floor for a loose ball.
KJ Cross – 2027 – G/F – Wisconsin Dynasty
The 6’5” wing has continued to improve and play at a high level this season with the Dynasty and had one of his best games tonight. This was with scoring 28 points and making plenty of other plays in a ten point win. Even while going up against some quality defenders, Cross was scoring it very efficiently going strong to the basket playing through contact and finishing everything around the basket. He also made some nice drive and dump off plays.
Khader Diabate – 2027 – PG – Gxfted Elite
Diabate had a lot of good performances during the spring season, he was playing at another level Thursday. In a three-point win, the point guard went off for 29 points. While he did hit a couple of threes he really excelled playing on the attack. Diabate moves well with the ball along with great burst of quickness. He was consistently getting into the paint and finishing as well as creating his own shot in the mid-range in the win.
Landon Lethunya – 2027 – F – Full Package
Lethunya had one of the top halves of basketball of the day in which he scored 13 points in a comeback attempt. He showed his scoring versatility hitting a couple of threes playing out of the pick and pop. This was in addition throwing down a pair of powerful dunks from the athletic 6’9” forward. More than just his scoring from the high upside forward, Lethunya was also playing with good energy on the glass as well as making some key defensive stops.
Ken White Jr. – 2027 – PG – Michigan Playmakers
At times White was just unguardable as he scored 27 points in a tight game. With his handle, moves, and quickness with the ball, he has such a great ability to create separation and knock down jumpers off the dribble. In his opening round game of the tournament, he drilled four threes as well to a few mid-range jumpers too. Now back from injury this summer, White is a player college coaches will want to see.
