There are plenty of players that college coaches should have their eyes this weekend at the NY2LA Summer Jam, here is just a small sample of those.

Silas Cohen – 2028 – PG – All Wisconsin

Cohen has been one of the fastest rising players in Wisconsin’s 2028 class during the grassroots season to show he’s among the top players in it. He has good positional size at 6’3” along with plenty of length in addition to being a true point guard with athleticism too. The rising junior excels as a playmaker on the attack with a tremendous ability to finish all around the paint with his length in addition to ability to create for others plus consistently hit the three. In the past several weeks he has been offered by Green Bay and Toledo.

Bo Grabner – 2027 – F/C – Wisconsin Blizzard

Grabner is a 6’9” post who has continued to improve throughout this grassroots season. He was an instrumental piece in helping the Blizzard last weekend at the Grassroots Invitational go undefeated. He has a solid build and plays with plenty of energy as a tough interior defender as well as on glass along with improved mobility. He has continued to show an improving offensive game as a back to the basket scorer with good touch over both shoulders plus more of an ability to play on the perimeter.

Ian Newble – 2027 – SF – D Rice Elite

Coming off a very good Grassroots Invitational tournament, Newble has shown his great upside for the next level. He is a lengthy 6’6” wing forward with a versatile game. Newble can defend both guard and forwards effectively. Offensively, he has also shown a well-rounded skill set with his ability to shoot the three and make plays on the attack. While he is currently an under the radar player, it is only a matter of time before he is a popular target if he continues to play like he has been.

Chris Retic – 2027 – SF – Jay Academy

Retic remains one of the more under recruited players in Wisconsin with all his translatable tools and great growth in his game during the grassroots season. There are not may players who can match his size at 6’7” along with his great athleticism, motor, and impactful play on both ends of the courts. He continued to develop his shooting ability and has proven to be a well-rounded scorer who is often putting up twenty plus points this grassroots season.

Alex Robbins – 2028 – SF -Team Herro

It has continued to be a stellar grassroots season for Robbins after missing much of the high school season. This started with earning first team honors at the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish to then averaging 16.7 points and 5.2 rebounds on the Nike EYBL. Robbins is an incredibly well-rounded wing with great size at 6’7” along with being a fluid athlete. He is a standout on both ends with his ability to defend multiple positions in addition to a growing offensive game including hitting nearly two threes per game on the EYBL this season. Robbins recently added an offer from Green Bay.
