Plenty of additional stock boosters from the Grassroots Invitational to cover as we make the move to part two of this series.

Nick Brzezniak – 2027 – SF – Illinois Flight

Brzezniak is a fast-rising player in the 2027 class who showcased his great upside with everything he does on the court. As well to being 6’6”, the forward showed a well-rounded game in a 3-1 weekend for the Flight. This was highlighted by his shot making ability in a tight win in which he scored 14 points while hitting a trio of threes as well to a pull up jumper. As well to his shooting, Brzezniak can handle the ball getting all the way to the basket and plays with good energy. He also made some key plays in the final seconds of wins including a transition basket to go up three as well as in another taking a charge.

Dorion Jackson – 2027 – G – D Rice Elite

Jackson has consistently showcased his great outside shooting and that continued into the Grassroots Invitational as he excels in his role for this talented team. This started early in the tournament as he hit a pair of threes early in his opening game as well as drawing a foul on another three all in a short span. His hot shooting continued throughout the tournament helping D Rice to a 4-0 record. In addition to his knockdown shooting, Jackson was also driving to distribute it when he had the ball in his hands.

Yak Kizer – 2027 – PF – Kessel Heat

Kizer is a physical power forward with a strong build. He stands at 6’5” but can play even bigger inside with these tools. He scored the ball very efficiently with his back to the basket simply bullying defenders and finishing well over both shoulders. He also scored it well being able to face up to the basket plus hit jumpers from both the mid-range and three. Kizer was also effective on the defensive side being active all around the paint as a help defender blocking multiple shots in a game.

Will Lisowski-Semb – 2027 – G – Wisconsin Dynasty

Over the course of multiple games at the tournament, the guard was making a ton of plays. He plays with plenty of energy and with his quickness was all over the court contributing on both ends. This was especially the case on the defensive side where he was playing tough on ball defense as well to being active in the passing lanes for multiple steals in one game and then making plays in the transition game. Offensively, he scored it on some aggressive takes to the basket as well as being a facilitator as he was often using his quickness to beat defenders.

Kyron Miles – 2028 – PG – Illinois Express

Even while playing up a level as a 2028 at the 17U level, Miles showed a very good ability to be a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He moves very well with the ball with his quickness and handle being able to fly right through the defense often getting deep into the paint. While he scored getting to the basket both in the half court and in transition, he excelled as a distributor moving the ball well on the attack with good vision. He was also a playmaker on the defensive side effectively pressuring the ball, forcing turnovers.

Michael Pratt-Hassan – 2027 – SG – Racine Truth

The guard was making plenty of plays on both ends of the floor throughout the tournament helping his team to a 4-0 record including multiple double-digit scoring games. Pratt-Hassan has grown as a shooter consistently hitting threes including three of them in his opening game while also playing quick with the ball. Defensively, with his speed and active play, he is a tough on ball defender who showed the ability to lock down on the perimeter.

Quinn Zinzer – 2027 – PG – Full Package McCormick

The hot shooting of Zinzer helped his Full Package squad to a 4-0 record at the tournament. This included hitting six threes in a tight game. While he showed a good ability to run the point, driving to distribute the ball he spent much of his time off the ball. Zinzer was active moving without the ball coming off screens and quickly being able to get into his shot off the catch. While hitting threes in bunches, he was doing so at a high percentage. He also played with good defensive intensity really working to stick with the ball.
