Plenty more standouts to feature here from the 17U group of the Grassroots Invitational. Some very well known players included as well as more breakout names that college coaches will want to learn about.

Tarik Bajramovic – 2027 – SF – Team Ramey

Bajramovic is a 6’5” wing forward with a strong build, toughness, and a versatile offensive skill set. He scored the ball in a variety of ways to score 17 points in a single half in a win while also scoring it efficiently throughout the tournament. While he scored it strong around the paint including multiple and one baskets he really stood out with his shooting. The rising senior showcased a smooth jumper with a good ability to shoot it off the dribble from both the mid-range and three.

Cormac Hanus – 2027 – G/F – Full Package

This Full Package team that went 3-1 in the top pool is incredibly deep with plenty of contributors and Hanus had some stellar games as part of the winning record. While the 6’5” wing had a good spring, he continued to greatly improve during the summer. He still showed his great outside shot making but showed more of a versatile scoring game. In a tight opening game win, Hanus was consistently driving all the way to the basket and finishing the ball. He was moving quicker with the ball with improved handle maneuvering right through defenses.

Jahkil Jackson – 2026 – G – PAC Elite

Throughout the tournament, Jackson showed his highly versatile and impactful game in a 3-1 weekend. With his athleticism, positional size at 6’3”, and well-roundedness, Jackson was a real stat stuffer. This included showing his shot making ability off the dribble which he was hitting well both from the mid-range and three. He also made a great impact with his aggressive on ball defensive play being able to force plenty of turnovers.

Byron Jones – 2028 – G/F – E2E Elite

Even while playing up a level, Jones showed a ton of translatable tools for the next level helping his team to a 4-0 record. He is an athletic 6’6” wing with great length too. He scored it very well on the attack gliding through heavy traffic but can also shoot the three. Jones also made a good impact being able to defend multiple positions effectively and be a primary ballhandler. He is a high upside 2028 to track.

Cooper Malaski – 2027 – F/C – Pro Skills

While an under the radar name, Malaski showed a great blend of tools. This starts with his physical tools having good size at 6’8” along with a solid frame. In addition to this, Malaski also showed a versatile scoring ability. Not only does he use his size and good touch to score it effectively around the paint, he played very well out on the perimeter as well. He can consistently hit the three spotting up hitting three of them in a game while also moving well with the ball at his size attacking the basket.

Luke Schelle – 2027 – PG – Refined Indiana

Schelle was a big reason his team went 4-0. He was one of the top scorers of the tournament with games of 22 points, 20 points and 14 points. Much of this done with his knockdown shooting ability as he hit four threes in a single game. He also showed good point guard play as well as a skilled distributor. He maneuvers well through traffic and is a highly skilled passer on the move seeing the entire floor.

Eden Vinyard – 2027 – F – D Rice Elite

Vinyard is such an intriguing recruit with all his translatable tools and did a ton on the court in a 4-0 tournament. The obvious from him is his size at 6’8” along with his fluid athleticism and great length. At his size, he still showed a good ability to make plays off the dribble. He moves well and has good handle being able to attack the basket. Vinyard also scored it well in transition and from the dunker spot in addition to making a huge impact with his defensive versatility, rebounding, and energy. He recently added an offer from Cleveland State.
