It has been a very up and down several months for 2027 Austin Luchetti of Monona Grove and the Wisconsin Playmakers. This started with an injury last year and more recently a major boost in the recruitment of the 6’7” wing forward.

This all started with an injury last November in a scrimmage with Monona Grove. This injury would end up costing Luchetti his entire high school junior season. He was finally able to get back on the court for the spring grassroots season in the beginning of May.

Last year the recruitment of Luchetti got a big jolt when he picked up a pair of division two offers. These came from Northern Michigan and Lake Superior State. Now over the past few days, the forwards recruitment has taken another major leap. This came with him picking up his first two division one offers. First Green Bay extended an offer to him. Then just a day later, Northern Illinois also extended an offer to him. “It feels amazing, I feel like it shows how my hard work and dedication have gotten me to where I am,” he said about receiving his first division one offers.

There are different aspects that Luchetti likes about each of these two new schools who have offered him. For Green Bay, he mentioned their facilities. For Northern Illinois, it is their area and campus. “I also appreciate their proximity to my home, family, and friends,” he added in about both of them.
