One more group of standouts from the Ridgewood Shootout this past weekend.

Arthur Abbey – 2027 – PG – Rock Island

Abbey had a few standout games including scoring 25 points in one of them. As well to being able to shoot the three, he is also a true playmaker with the ball. He is incredibly quick and maneuvers so well with the ball through the defense being able to get wherever he wants. He was often getting into the paint, distributing it, and hitting shots in the mid-range. His playmaking also extends to the defensive side with his quickness and energy being a disrupting force on the ball.

Kaden McClellan – 2029 – PG – Bloom

McClellan is an energetic point guard with an advanced game and was consistently making plays. This includes on the defensive side pressuring the ball forcing turnovers but was especially on the offensive side with the ball. With his quickness and moves, he was consistently beating defenders to get into the paint to create for himself and teammates.

Nathan Munson – 2027 – PG – Lockport

Munson is such a consistent and highly impactful point guard who can do whatever is needed of him. This includes running the point, playing with good energy both defensively and on the glass, and scoring on the attack. His game his highlighted by creating for others as he is poised with the ball and is a highly skilled passer with great vision. He does a great job quickly getting the ball out and hitting cutters on the move. Munson can also use his physicality to body smaller guards to get to his spots around the paint and finish it.

Duke Ross – 2027 – SF – St. Ignatius

The game of Ross continues to grow as he has showing a lot of translatable tools in a win on Friday. This includes being 6’6” with a very well-rounded game. He is a consistent outside shooter while also showing a growing ability to make plays off the dribble. This included as an aggressive straight-line driver as well as taking rebounds the length of the court. Ross also played with plenty of energy both on the glass rebounding everything around him as well as defensively.

Anthony Tyler – 2028 – G – Riverside Brookfield

While up against a very good Neuqua Valley team, Tyler showed his scoring ability. The guard scored it effectively both playing with the ball as well as off it. He is a high percentage spot up shooter who drilled three threes just in the first half alone of this game. Tyler also showed his ability to run the point moving well with the ball, hitting mid-range pull up jumpers, and getting to the basket.

Logan Wessel – 2027 – G/F – Mt. Carmel

Wessel has good size at 6’4” with a strong frame to go along with an elevated offensive skill set to go along with some athleticism too. This is headlined by his shooting ability to be a knockdown spot up three-point shooter. As well to his shooting, Wessel also used his physicality to score on some strong aggressive drives all the way to the basket finishing through contact.
