There were plenty of additional standouts from our first article from the Ridgewood Shootout. Here is the next group up.

Keiwon Gulley – 2029 – G – Bloom

With his high skill level and everything he can do, Gulley had multiple standout games at the event. Not only is the athletic guard a skilled scorer but also contributed greatly with his on ball defensive play, distributing, and rebounding. Gulley is an explosive guard with a quick first step often getting into the defense where he passed it well on the move with good vision as well to being able to finish through contact. He also played with great energy whether it was pressuring the ball or on the glass just outworking guards and wings to rebound the ball.

Ronald Johnson – 2029 – PG – Mt. Carmel

Even as just a 2029 Johnson has great tools as he continues to have a stellar June season. This includes his physical tools at 6’3” with a good build along with being a skilled point guard. Johnson plays poised and under control with the ball and sees the floor well always looking to distribute it out. He also can use his physicality to attack the basket and finish inside while also shooting it well in the mid-range.

Cole Kelly – 2028 – SF – Neuqua Valley

Kelly has such a great blend of size, skill, and playing with great energy to be such a consistent, high level player who helped his team to a 4-0 shootout. His versatile play includes being able to be a primary ball handler, use his size in the low or mid post, and be a facilitator with his very good passing ability. Kelly also played with great energy hitting the glass to score on a few put backs in a single game Friday. In the past few days, he has added offers from Marquette and Wisconsin.

Jacob Only – 2028 – PG – DePaul Prep

Only is already an impactful and talented point guard who shows even greater upside. He is a big point guard at 6’3” with a strong frame and length. While Only showed a good ability running the point playing strong with the ball and making good decisions with the ball, he also shot it well. Both spotting up from three or pulling up in the mid-range, he shot it at a high percentage. He was also a standout defensively both on the ball with his size and athleticism as well as being active off the ball.

Nedas Venckus – 2027 – SG – Lockport

The 6’3” two guard shined throughout the shootout. Venckus was a standout with both his explosiveness as well to his shooting. He is a very bouncy guard who had some posturizing dunks off cuts finishing right over posts. As well to his highlight reel dunks, Venckus was shooting the ball at a high percentage from three and moves well without the ball.

Nojus Venckus – 2027 – SG – Lockport

Over the course of the shootout, Venckus showcased a versatile scoring ability. As well to his scoring ability he has some in the backcourt at 6’3” and knows how to play. While Venckus can really shoot the ball from the outside, he also showed a good ability to score on the attack. He plays well getting to his spots in the paint and finishing effectively in traffic with runners and nifty footwork through defenders. He also had multiple and one finishes in a single game coming off a cut and tip in.
