It has been a standout spring for rising senior Paul Ridgway has continued to boost his play during the past few months while playing with DistinXion. This has led to the growth in the recruitment for the 6’6” wing of Sullivan High School (IN).

At both the Grassroots Showcase in April and then the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza during the May live period, Ridgway was one of the top 2027 players. This included him averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds at the Spring Extravaganza in an undefeated tournament.

During the breakout spring for Ridgway, he has received his first two collegiate offers. This first came from DePauw, followed by Southeastern Illinois College. In addition to these offers, he has a wide range of programs showing interest in him from division one to three. Amongst these schools are Eastern Illinois, Purdue Fort Wayne, Rose Hulman, and Wabash. “Looking for a place that has my preferred degree and somewhere I’ll fit in and contribute. Also a program that’ll push you as a player and continue to help develop your game,” is what Ridgway is searching for in his future college program.

As well to being 6’6”, he is a fluid athlete with a versatile skill set who plays with tremendous energy. He has shown to have a well-rounded offensive game while excelling as a slasher in addition to being a tough defender who can match up with multiple positions effectively. “Shooting and situational ball handling,” are the aspects of his game that he is looking to improve upon.

Ridgway has shown plenty of tools for the next level which should continue to generate interest from scholarship level programs.
